Diseases of the developing brain are prime indications for regenerative medicine
Endothelial colony-forming cells (ECFCs) are the body's natural blood-vessel builders — rare cells that form and repair the vessels every organ depends on.
In the brain, those vessels feed and protect neurons, and their signals help injured tissue recover.
Can‑Vas is an allogeneic platform of ECFCs and mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs). The starting point comes from healthy placentas donated after full-term births — tissue that would otherwise be discarded. Can‑Vas generates cryopreserved off-the-shelf products ready at the point of care with no wait for a matched donor.
How Can‑Vas worksMechanism
Restoring the neurovascular environment
Can‑Vas cells act through paracrine support — signalling to the injured microenvironment — to help the brain rebuild that infrastructure itself.
Pipeline
A wholly-owned pipeline of allogeneic cell therapies
Peak 15 Bio is developing allogeneic, off-the-shelf cell therapies for serious neurological diseases where a treatment window exists and no adequate therapy does — from rare conditions of the newborn brain to adult neurological disease.
All Can‑Vas programmes are investigational.
About
About Peak 15 Bio
Peak 15 Bio exists to create medicines for serious diseases where treatment options are limited or absent. Our science begins where life does — with the newborn brain — and is built to scale to neurological disease across the lifespan.
